Meet the Team
 About the Doctor Melanie Wang, DDS, MSD  Dr. Melanie Wang (a.k.a. "Dr. Melanie" as her patients and staff affectionately call her) not only prides herself in exceptional orthodontic results, but also in forming lifelong relationships with her patients. Dr. Melanie grew up in Poway and went to UCSD for her undergraduate studies, graduating with high honors. She was accepted into the UCLA School of Dentistry where she was chosen as class president in her junior and senior years, as well as class speaker at graduation. It was there that she met her husband, Dr. Jim Wang. The two then moved to Missouri so Dr. Melanie could attend St. Louis University, where she completed her orthodontic specialty training. Today, Dr. Melanie and Dr. Jim have a two year old son named Tyler who loves to brush the few teeth he has! They have settled in San Diego and made it their home. Dr. Melanie is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and maintains memberships with the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the San Diego County Dental Society. Dr. Melanie is committed to helping her patients have the confidence to share their bright smile with the world! About the Staff We are especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home. We put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment. Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. We regularly attend continuing education courses and seminars in order to keep MW Orthodontics up to date with the latest in technology and advances in the medical community. Stacey- Financial Coordinator Stacey and her family moved to San Diego from the Santa Barbara area. She has two children, Ryan and Christina, who are currently being treated by Dr. Melanie. Ryan and Christina both attend Mt. Carmel High School. Stacey has a background in sales, finance, and management, and has been with Dr. Melanie since she originally opened. She enjoys working with children and helping all patients with their financial needs for their orthodontic work. |

Debbie-Treatment Coordinator Debbie grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, but has lived in San Diego most of her life. She is a certified dental assistant and treatment coordinator. She has been working in the orthodontic field for most of her career and is comfortable handling any questions regarding orthodontic treatment. Debbie loves meeting new people, building great relationships with patients, and watching them develop beautiful smiles. |

Ariana- Registered Dental Assistant Ariana grew up in Poway and graduated from Poway High School in 2004. She recently graduated from California State University of San Marcos Magna Cum Laude. She enjoys creative writing, reading, and and the hands on aspect of the orthodontic field. She has been with Dr. Melanie since she first opened the office and loves to see everyone's bright, smiling faces. |

Stacey- Orthodontic Assistant We are happy to introduce Stacey, our newest assistant. Stacey moved from Minnesota and brings with her fifteen years of orthodontic experience. You and your children will be well cared for in her capable hands. She and her family live in Rancho Bernardo and are enjoying our tropical seasons. Althought they miss the snow and change of seasons, both of her children are especially happy to no longer have to shovel the driveway. Welcome to the office Stacey! |

Currently on Maternity leave Jen- Registered Dental Assistant Jen is a California native who lives in 4S Ranch with her husband and two year old daughter. She stumbled upon the office in search of a replacement retainer and found much much more. When Dr. Melanie discovered that Jen was an experienced RDA, she couldn't let such a warm, bubbly personality walk out the door without offering her a job in our office family. We are all so excited to welcome Jen to the office and know you will be too! |
